Copper Coast Inn, located in the heart of Kill on the stunning Copper Coast in Co. Waterford, showcases our specialist expertise in pub design Waterford. This beloved traditional Irish pub has been thoughtfully revitalised to honour its heritage whilst embracing modern hospitality needs, delivering an authentic, welcoming space for locals, visitors, and tourists exploring the UNESCO Global Geopark.
At the heart of our pub design Waterford approach stands the reused original oak bar counter, lovingly restored and repositioned as the focal point. We complemented this with salvaged floorboards throughout, adding character and sustainability to the reclaimed timber flooring. Traditional features such as tongue-and-groove wall panelling, aged brass fittings, embossed wall-coverings evoke the genuine warmth of an Irish pub, whilst a salvaged cast-iron “horseshoe” fireplace creates cosy gathering spots during cooler evenings.
A standout highlight is the transformation of the former pool room into a secretive speakeasy bar – The Lost Hour – accessed through a cleverly concealed door hidden within a bookcase. This exclusive area adds an element of intrigue and discovery, perfect for intimate tastings of award-winning Irish whiskeys, craft beers, and cocktails.
Community spirit shines through with a dedicated section celebrating GAA sports and the local team, complete with memorabilia and photos from the club’s past. The new pub layout incorporates a versatile live music area optimised for traditional Irish sessions and other performances, viewable from most of the bar for an immersive experience.
Our Irish pub designer balanced aesthetics with practicality – ambient lighting, efficient service flow, pockets of private seating and up-lit drinks displays to enhance the atmosphere . The finished pub interior design project is stocked with local brewery and local distillery products with a focus on fine whiskeys, where every detail tells a story of Waterford heritage and community.
